What do we do next?” That’s the question that Kristy McConnell and Karen Kushner, founders of Tennis Skirts Desserts, asked each other after they sent their children off to college. They had spent years volunteering for school and various sports and community organzations. After fulfilling the challenges of raising their families, these two women were ready to conquer a new challenge. Karen decided to join Kristy in her new business venture; a dessert company that focused on frozen products that were marketed for home consumption. Kristy had her business degree from the University of Southern California and had always dreamed of starting her own business, while Karen was busy chairing her school’s Parent Teacher Fellowship, National Charity League, and various other community organizations. They met playing tennis and had played competitive tennis together for years. Kristy and Karen decided that the new focus of their drive, passion and competitiveness would be their business-- thus the birth of Tennis Skirts Desserts.

We are committed to providing fresh, convenient desserts that answer the question “What should I serve for dessert?” . Kristy and Karen are both accomplished cooks and love to prepare extravagant menus, and even they have found that there is only so much energy you can put into a dinner party. All of our desserts are sold in frozen batter form in individual, disposable paper molds. So you can serve your guests a freshly baked, elegant dessert simply by taking our products from the freezer to the oven, and baking for the prescribed time (usually less than 19 minutes).
